Planning Meetings For MTW and Annual Plan

ANNOUNCEMENT

The Seminole County Housing Authority has recently been designated a "MOVING TO WORK" (MTW) agency. 

We are currently in the planning process to determine which of the many flexibilities and opportunities available to us that we would like to implement over the next several years to enrich the lives of the families and communities we serve. 

BUT.....We want and need your input.  The MTW designation for our agency means we can change some of the traditional rules and reporting requirements that are usually very burdensome and invasive to the families we serve.  The MTW demonstration program allows us to implement new or different policies regarding the programs that we administer in order to streamline processes and encourage more self-sufficiency among program participants. 

We are having a series of meetings in early August to solicit input from our community stakeholders.  Please plan to attend one of the meetings in order to learn more about MTW and to provide feedback about our plans and ideas the meeting dates/times are as follows:

After the series of meetings, the Plan will be completed and will be available for Public review and comment in accordance with HUD guidelines before it is presented to the Board of Commissioners for approval.
