2024 PHADA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

DO YOU HAVE A GRADUATING SENIOR RESIDING IN A HOME WITH A SUBSIDY THROUGH OUR AGENCY? IF YES, AND COLLEGE IS THE PLAN, READ THIS!

Three scholarships will be awarded, they are as follows:

Stephen J. Bollinger Memorial Scholarship (One scholarship to be awarded in the amount of $7,000)

Civil Rights and Social Justice Scholarship (One scholarship to be awarded in the amount of $5,000)

Nan McKay Pathway to Achievement Scholarship (One scholarship to be awarded in the amount of $5,000)

Eligible applicants must be a high school senior and reside in a PHADA member agency owned or managed unit throughout his/her entire senior year. Public housing residents, Section 8 participants or other low-income housing residents are eligible, as long as the agency at which they reside is a PHADA member. (Seminole County HA is a member of PHADA)

Minimum Grade Point Average: Student must have at least a "B" average (or 3.0 FPA) on his/her school's applicable scale during his/her high school career, cumulatively, to be considered for the scholarship. Note: School counselor must complete the Grade Point Average Verification form on the verification page of the scholarship. 

Please pick up your complete application along with requirements checklist at our front desk. The application requires an essay to be written. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8am to 4:30pm. 

Applications are due to our office by January 18, 2024. We will send the application to PHADA to meet their deadline of January 26, 2024.
